			The slabs were got more known about on January 17th, 2021, when [[Mixarium]] built a block meta data changer, which could convert the ID of these particular slabs. Coincidentally, that was the same day when the [[Puucraft Shutdown Scare\|second shutdown scare]] was announced. Although these kinds of illegal slabs were well known way before that, most of the Puucraft community didn't hear of them at all. Mixarium would showcase the illegal slabs to few users. Until January 23rd, when several people visited [[Mathoholmul]] to meet Mixarium, while he was making the crash slabs. That would also be the day when Puucraft was expected to shutdown, but it didn't.

			From that date onward, the crash slabs became quite known in the community. So far, no bans were applied to those who were farming the slabs.
